The Siberian Larch Feather Edge Board 26x146mm is a tapered timber board designed for external use where long-term durability and clean weathering behaviour matter. Commonly specified for feather edge cladding and traditional fencing, the overlapping profile helps shed water efficiently while allowing for natural timber movement in UK conditions.

Siberian larch is a dense, resin-rich softwood valued for its natural resistance to moisture uptake and decay risk when correctly detailed and installed. The feather edge profile tapers from a thicker edge to a thinner edge, allowing each board to overlap the next and form a layered surface that protects fixings and reduces direct exposure. This makes it a reliable choice for façades, boundary fencing, agricultural buildings, and outbuildings where consistent performance is required over time.

This board sits within our feather edge boards range and is suited to projects needing a straightforward timber profile with proven external performance. It can be installed vertically or horizontally to battens using corrosion-resistant fixings, with overlap depth and ventilation forming the basis of a stable, longer-lasting cladding or fencing build-up.

Left untreated, Siberian larch will naturally weather to a silver-grey finish. Where colour control or longer maintenance cycles are required, boards can be finished with a suitable external coating system. Correct detailing, appropriate overlap, and a ventilated construction are essential to maximise service life and maintain consistent appearance.
